Overview
Registered Nurse - Operating Room (Ophthalmology) in Rochester, New York, United States. Travel - Temporary Assignment. Start date 08/03/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range $2,276 - $2,397 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0. Shift: 10-hour shifts. The assignment involves work in a hospital setting with the OR team providing scrub and circulating support for ophthalmology cases. Primarily Monday–Friday days with on-call responsibilities for evenings, nights, and weekends.

Responsibilities
- Provide scrub and circulating support in the ophthalmology operating room for patients of all ages
- Assist with cataracts, retina, glaucoma, cornea, and pediatrics cases; manage instrument readiness and specimen handling
- Maintain sterile technique and ensure patient safety throughout cases
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team; document intraoperative events and assist with patient positioning and draping
- Monitor patient status intraoperatively; help ensure equipment readiness and respond to intraoperative changes as needed
- Adhere to safety, infection control, and AHA guidelines; complete appropriate documentation and on-call coverage when assigned

Requirements
- RN license (New York state license only)
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association only)
- Two (2) years operating room experience; level 1 trauma hospital experience highly desired
- Ability to scrub and circulate
- Experience with cataracts, retina, glaucoma, cornea, and pediatrics
- ACLS certification preferred
