Job Description

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

  • We expect formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, plus at least 2 years of applied experience.
  • We require hands-on full-stack development experience with Java and/or Python.
  • We expect experience with JavaScript/Node.js.
  • We need experience in UX/UI design, including building modern, user-centered interfaces, following UI standards, and supporting accessibility.
  • We require practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • We expect experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using one or more modern programming languages and database query languages.
  • We require hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, or documentation, with the ability to critically assess and validate AI-generated output.
  • We expect understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and adherence to resilience and security expectations.
  • We require experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle.
  • We expect exposure to agile practices such as CI/CD, application resilience, and security.
  • Preferred: working knowledge of AWS Cloud services and Cloud Foundry platforms.
  • Preferred: hands-on experience with automation tools such as Playwright and Cucumber.
  • Preferred: familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitLab CI.
Responsibilities:
  • We execute standard software solution design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
  • We write secure, high-quality code in at least one programming language with limited guidance.
  • We use enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity, while validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards.
  • We design, develop, code, and troubleshoot with awareness of upstream and downstream systems and technical impact.
  • We apply knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle tools, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value of automation.
  • We apply technical troubleshooting to break down solutions and resolve basic technical issues.
  • We gather, analyze, and interpret large, diverse data sets to identify issues and support decision-making for secure, stable application development.
  • We learn and apply system processes, methods, and skills to build secure, stable code and systems.
