Under the general supervision of the Personnel Supervisor II, the Senior Personnel Specialist functions as the staff specialist with responsibility for the duties associated with the institution’s Worker’s Compensation program.

Individuals who are eligible for a Training and Development assignment may also be considered for this position(s).

Working Conditions

California Medical Facility (CMF), located in a unique spot in Vacaville, CA. Unique as in being surrounded by many areas for family fun, exercise, touristy adventures and more. Approximately 35 miles east of downtown Sacramento, approximately 53 miles west of Pier 39 in San Francisco, and if you want to meet in the middle you can swing by Napa which is approximately 30 miles west. Also located nearby are the Vacaville Outlets for all your shopping needs.

Candidates new to CDCR are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan Fingerprinting, and Tuberculosis testing prior to appointment followed by department annual Tuberculosis testing/evaluation thereafter.
