Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Design Release Engineer (DRE) with strong automotive seating experience to support seat component design, development, and release activities.

Title: Seat Design Release Engineer
Location: Irvine, CA OR Plymouth, MI

Key Responsibilities

Lead design release activities for automotive seating components.
Design and develop seating components using CATIA V6.
Develop and execute seating system requirements for cars and SUVs.
Complete and release seat components, sub-systems, and detailed designs, including:
- Back frames
- Cushion frames
- Foam
- Trim
Plastic components
Collaborate with seat component suppliers and support vehicle development milestones, prototypes, and production builds.
Conduct feasibility, packaging, and design studies.
Apply knowledge of manufacturing processes and tooling for plastic and metal components.

Required Qualifications

Must have Design Release Engineer (DRE) experience.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
5+ years of automotive seating component experience.
Strong experience with CATIA V6.
Good understanding of automotive manufacturing technologies.
In-depth knowledge of plastic and metal tooling.
