Position Location:  This role supports our Laurel, MD branch location, which serves customers throughout the greater Washington, D.C. area.

The Project Manager coordinates and delivers multiple simultaneous projects considered medium to large in complexity with financial impact greater than $7M. The Project Manager has fiscal responsibility for all project facets, including project billing, job cost reporting, and overall customer satisfaction.

You will facilitate the execution of project/program solution plan for clearly defined sub-projects or sub-programs. Responsible for delivery of results for the respective process steps. May guide technical or administrative staff. Acts as a functional process resource on projects or programs. Contributes to continuous improvement plan. May perform active role in maintaining functionally focused client relationships. Responsible for several projects of varying size. Must obtain PM@Siemens certification for B and C projects (greater than $2.5M).

As a  Project Manager , you will:

  • Review project specifications, drawings and project-specific documents to establish project intent.
  • Develop and maintain a project schedule and coordinates needs with the project team. Identify time-sensitive installation needs.
  • Manage the requisition of supplies and materials to complete projects. 
  • Review plans and specifications and participate in project cost reviews.
  • Assist Operations Manager in the solicitation and contracting of subcontractors.
  • Conduct an orientation for project technicians and provides project documentation, including scope of work, drawings, applicable specifications, application-engineered drawings, project contacts, etc. 
  • Track resources and project progress. 
  • Document project events that impact the schedule, scope of work, and project efficiency.
  • Pursue project-specific change-order opportunities. 
  • Coordinate and pursue project-specific billing; coordinates with Accounting team and Operations Manager. 
  • Schedule project-specific commissioning resources and provide commissioning documentation. 
  • Expedite the return of project-specific mark-ups for as-built development. 
  • Complete project-specific close-out documentation.
  • Effectively manage and coordinate subcontractors to meet scope, scheduling, and financial requirements.
  • Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures; report unsafe conditions and actions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment providing dedicated support to our customers
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project 
  • Verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Technical experience in the HVAC controls industry
  • 7+ years of experience managing projects
  • Must be able to demonstrate: 
    • Knowledge and understanding of HVAC industry applications; ability to read and understand MEP drawings and specifications, and electrical, network, and control wiring diagrams
    • Knowledge of industry-standard communication protocols such as Ethernet, Modbus, and BACnet
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of technical experience in  Building Automation
  • Bachelor of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree

The pay range for this position is $122,951 - $210,773 annually with a target incentive of 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
