NextGen Hospitality Solutions is excited to announce an opening for a Kitchen Manager / Sous Chef at our high-volume steakhouse located in Rosemont. This full-time, on-site position offers an exceptional opportunity for culinary professionals looking to advance their career in a dynamic restaurant environment where quality and consistency are paramount.

In this role, you will lead a team of dedicated culinary staff, ensuring that our menu items are executed to perfection and meet our standards of excellence. You will manage kitchen operations, coordinate food preparation, and oversee inventory control while fostering a positive working atmosphere. Your leadership will contribute significantly to our guests’ dining experience and the overall success of our culinary team.

We offer a competitive salary range of $67,000 - $73,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with opportunities for professional development and a collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Collaborate with the management team to plan and execute menu items
  • Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff to enhance their culinary skills
  • Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed
  • Ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation standards
  • Monitor food costs and assist in budget management
  • Implement and maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization
  • Assist in the development of new recipes and menu offerings
  • Address and resolve any kitchen-related issues efficiently
  • Foster a teamwork-oriented environment to enhance productivity

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager or Sous Chef in a high-volume restaurant setting
  • Strong culinary skills and a deep understanding of various cooking techniques
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset
  • Ability to maintain a positive working atmosphere even during high-pressure situations
  • Degree in Culinary Arts or a related field is preferred
