Job Description

Lead a Premier Art & Specialty Restoration Division

Unified Restorations is seeking an exceptional leader to direct and grow our Art, Heirlooms & Collectibles division. This is a rare opportunity for an experienced art professional, curator, conservator, gallery leader, or entrepreneurial operator to build and lead a high-touch business serving collectors, institutions, insurers, and families during critical moments.

Based in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, Unified Restorations specializes in the handling, restoration, storage, transportation, and installation of fine art, antiques, heirlooms, collectibles, textiles, specialty furniture, and electronics following fire, water, smoke, and peril-related losses.

We are looking for a Director to leverage our expertise and resources, and can combine business leadership with a deep appreciation for art and collectible objects. This role is ideal for a leader who thrives on relationship-building, operational excellence, problem-solving, and business growth.

Backgrounds in art restoration, galleries, museums, collection management, auction houses, luxury services, or entrepreneurial operations are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Business Development

  • Lead and grow the Art, Heirlooms & Collectibles division with operational and revenue accountability.
  • Manage and mentor a team of restoration professionals, handlers, project managers, and support staff.
  • Develop new service offerings and identify opportunities to expand Unified Restorations’ presence within the art and collectibles market.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to improve operational performance and customer experience.
  • Support sales and business development initiatives by providing expertise on art-related projects and collection services.

Client & Art Management

  • Provide high-touch communication throughout projects to ensure an exceptional client experience.
  • Build trusted relationships with collectors, insurance professionals, galleries, museums, institutions, contractors, and high-net-worth clients.
  • Coordinate restoration strategies for fine art, antiques, heirlooms, and collectibles affected by fire, water, smoke, or handling-related damage.
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, deliverables, and quality standards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, efficiency, and operational processes.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is both an art professional and a business leader with the following background:

  • Experience leading a business, department, gallery, restoration studio, art management company, or related organization with financial responsibility.
  • Familiarity with restoration and conservation techniques, materials, and evaluation methods.
  • Experience preparing condition reports and collection assessments.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop business opportunities and manage client relationships.
  • Experience with buying, selling, evaluating, or managing collections is highly valued.

Our Mission & Culture

At Unified Restorations, we treat every item with professionalism, respect, and care. As a member of our team, you will be expected to:

  • Maintain a service-first mindset focused on helping people.
  • Demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and respect toward teammates and clients.
  • Be committed to quality and attention to detail.
  • Work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation

  • $60,000–$80,000+ annually, depending on experience and revenue growth
  • Eligible for year-end performance bonus

Benefits Include

  • Paid vacation and sick time
  • Public holidays plus floating holidays
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance options
