Design Applications Engineer (85-125K) We have an excellent opportunity available for a Design Applications Engineer to work for an industry leading manufacturer in the Pasadena, CA area. Overview:

Duties Include: Customer & Application Engineering
  • Collaborate with customers and sales engineers to understand application requirements and develop optimal technical solutions.
  • Review customer specifications, drawings, and industry standards.
  • Recommend connector designs that meet customer performance and application requirements.
  • Serve as the technical liaison throughout the design and development process.
Product Design & Development
  • Design and develop new connector and interconnect solutions.
  • Participate in design reviews and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Support engineering projects through prototype development, testing, and product qualification.
  • Ensure designs meet customer, industry, and manufacturing requirements.
Technical Leadership
  • Present technical concepts and design solutions to customers.
  • Provide engineering support during customer meetings and industry trade shows.
  • Assist in developing technical documentation and product literature.
  • Represent the voice of the customer throughout product development.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Product Management, Business Development, Manufacturing, and Process Engineering teams.
  • Help identify emerging market opportunities and future product technologies.
  • Support continuous product innovation and engineering improvements.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or another related technical discipline.
  • 2+ years of engineering experience preferred within connectors, interconnect products, power systems, or harsh environment applications.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel (air and car) up to 50%.
