College Counselor / University Guidance Counselor

Position Overview

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive university guidance to high school students, helping them identify suitable higher education pathways and develop competitive, individualized application strategies.

Key Responsibilities
Provide individualized college and university counseling to high school students
Guide students through the full university application process, including school selection, application planning, essays, activities, and interviews
Advise students on academic planning and extracurricular development in line with their university goals
Provide guidance on U.S., U.K., and other international university applications
Build strong and professional relationships with students and parents
Organize university information sessions, application workshops, and parent meetings
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of international university admissions trends and requirements
Work closely with teachers and academic leaders to support students’ overall academic and personal development
Maintain accurate records of student applications, outcomes, and counseling progress
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or above; Master’s degree preferred
Previous experience in college counseling, university admissions, or university guidance, preferably within an international school
Strong knowledge of U.S. and/or U.K. university admissions
Experience supporting students applying to highly selective universities is highly preferred
Excellent English communication, writing, and presentation skills
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with students, parents, teachers, and school leadership
High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail
A genuine commitment to academic excellence and student development
