Under the guidance of the Dean of Economic & Workforce Development, the Community College Program Specialist collaborates, coordinates and supports the Division to perform varied and complex technical analytical assignments to achieve program objectives within the Workforce and Economic Development Division related to the following areas: Program leadership for assigned statewide program, monitor and evaluate assigned program performance, conduct evaluation, fiscal and data analysis. As part of a team, the incumbent also conducts the day-to-day activities, tasks and work pertaining to the oversight and management of a regional portfolio that includes all programs within the WEDD division (Apprenticeship, Adult Education, Economic & Workforce Development (EWD), Strong Workforce Program (SWP), Strong Workforce Program (SWP) K12, Nursing, Perkins, and other related projects within the assigned region), including but not limited to providing technical assistance to grantees, reporting and identifying opportunities to work collaboratively with other divisional and cross divisional efforts.
This is a 12-month limited-term position with the potential for renewal for up to an additional 12 months, for a maximum appointment of 24 months.

The Statement of Qualification (SOQ) is a narrative discussion of how the candidate's education, training, experience, and skills meet the minimum and desirable qualifications and qualify them for the position. The SOQ serves as documentation of each candidate's ability to present information clearly and concisely in writing. The SOQ must be no more than a maximum of two pages typed, single-spaced, in 12 pt. Arial font. Indicate your name, the position number and "Statement of Qualifications" at the top of the page. The SOQ must be organized and numbered in the order of the desirable qualifications. Give specific examples, including your role and responsibilities, as well as outcomes.
1. Nursing and Allied Health programs play a critical role in addressing California’s healthcare workforce’s needs while promoting equitable student access and success. Describe your experience supporting Nursing, Allied Health, or other healthcare education programs. Include how you have worked to advance diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility, and student success in these programs and the outcomes that were achieved.
2. Please describe your experience with the development, implementation, management, and oversight of Nursing, Allied Health, or other healthcare workforce education programs. Include any experience with accreditation standards, regulatory requirements, clinical placements, workforce initiatives, grant- or state-funded programs, and partnerships with healthcare industry stakeholders.
3. Please describe your experience leading, developing, revising, implementing, or monitoring policies, procedures, or program requirements related to Nursing and Allied Health or other healthcare workforce education programs. Provide an example of how you worked with colleges, faculty, healthcare partners, regulatory agencies, or other stakeholders to address a challenge, ensure compliance, and improve program effectiveness or student outcomes.
