Reports to : CSU Store Manager
Location : North Charleston, SC
Commitment Level : Part-Time Year-Round
Hours : 20-29 hrs. per week
Pay : $12-14 hr.
Role Introduction
The Store Operations team works directly with store managers to integrate the Slingshot culture into our campus stores. While we are a third party entity, our goal is to engage the campus from within. Each team member has a defined role, but collaboration is an integral part of who we are. We are looking for team members who desire to engage the campus community while furthering the culture and values of both Slingshot and the institution.
We are seeking team members who place a high value on teamwork, innovation, and character development. The Campus Store Team Lead role helps integrate these values within the campus store.
Role Function
1. Creates a welcoming environment and builds rapport in the store and around campus
2. Maintains store stock and appearance through creative displays and merchandising
3. Serves store customers in a variety of capacities, including but not limited to point-of-sale operations by handling cash and credit card payments, phone calls (including voicemails and returning calls), and online sales and shipping.
4. Receives, locates, and ships textbooks, and general merchandise.
5. Also fulfills day-to-day mail services operations including but not limited to receiving, sorting, and occasionally delivering mail.
6. Engages and supports students, parents, staff, and faculty to promote sales, solve problems, and build rapport.
7. Fulfills course material orders.
8. Supports the store manager with store operations and stands in during the store manager's absence.
9. Performs other duties as assigned.
