Job Summary

The Assembler is responsible for the assembly, testing, inspection, and troubleshooting of products to ensure they meet quality, safety, and performance standards. This role requires the ability to interpret technical drawings, utilize hand tools and equipment, and apply manufacturing best practices to support efficient production operations.

 

Job Description

  • Assemble components and subassemblies for a variety of product lines according to specifications, drawings, and work instructions.
  • Select and utilize the appropriate tools, fixtures, and equipment required for assembly operations.
  • Verify that assembled products meet quality and performance standards before advancing to the next production stage.
  • Maintain an organized and efficient work area to support production goals.
  • Perform functional and operational testing of assembled products.
  • Troubleshoot assembly and testing issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Identify defects, nonconformances, and equipment issues and communicate findings to appropriate personnel.
  • Support rework and repair activities to ensure product quality requirements are met.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and assembly instructions.
  • Identify and verify correct components, materials, and hardware required for assembly.
  • Utilize hand tools, measuring instruments, and assembly equipment safely and effectively.
  • Perform dimensioning and tolerance verification of mechanical parts and assemblies.
  • Follow established quality standards, manufacturing procedures, and safety requirements.
  • Accurately create and maintain labor records and production transaction documentation.
  • Record assembly, testing, and inspection results as required.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.
  • Apply manufacturing system principles, tools, and best practices to support operational excellence.
  • Shift: M-F 7:00am-3:30pm (as business needs OT M-F 5:00am-3:30pm and Sat. 5:00am-11:00am

 

Skills Required

  • Previous assembly, manufacturing, or mechanical experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
  • Experience using hand tools, measuring devices, and assembly equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to accurately complete production documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Assemble products accurately and efficiently according to specifications.
  • Meet production schedules while maintaining quality standards.
  • Complete testing and inspections with minimal defects or rework.
  • Maintain accurate labor and production records.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and workplace safety initiatives.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
  • Frequently lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment safely and effectively.
  • Maintain manual dexterity and visual acuity required for detailed assembly work.
  • Work in a manufacturing or production environment with varying conditions.

 

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED

 

Pay Rate

  • $18.50 per hour (Compensation is offered based on experience, skills, and market factors) l
